A fire in Falls Church has claimed the lives of a grandmother and her granddaughter.
Fairfax County firefighters rescued the two and a dog from the single-story home on Barrett Road early Tuesday morning, WTOP reported.
The girl died shortly after her arrival while her grandmother died Wednesday.
The cause remains under investigation.
